SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

University College Dublin is the largest university in Ireland and is one of Europe’s leading research-intensive universities. UCD is ranked within the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide. UCD has the only Veterinary School in the island of Ireland and the school, in addition to being accredited by the Irish Veterinary Council and EAEVE, the European veterinary education accreditation body, also holds accreditation from the American Veterinary Medicine Association. 

UCD HERD HEALTH TEAM

The UCD Herd Health team is a consultancy and referral service to veterinarians throughout the Republic of Ireland, and provides on-farm herd health management service to affiliated farms.

RESEARCH FACILITIES

Relevant laboratory facilities in UCD comprise equipment for all conventional and molecular microbiological techniques, including whole genome sequencing (WGS).
